
North Kivu Ebola Cases Double to Over 200 as WHO Warns Outbreak Far From Over
On 16 September, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned efforts to wipe out Ebola in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo are "far from over." Weekly cases in North Kivu doubled from 100 to more than 200, even as transmission declined in Ituri and South Kivu reported no new cases since May.
