Russia to hold first parliamentary election since Ukraine invasion on Sept. 18-20

Russia will hold parliamentary elections September 18-20, the first since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The three-day vote will elect the ninth State Duma, succeeding the eighth convocation. I see the timing as key: the result will show domestic conditions for Moscow's next wartime phase, not decide the war itself.
