61% of Likely Voters Oppose Building AI Data Centers, NYT/Siena Poll Finds

61% of 1,503 likely voters oppose constructing data centers to power AI, with only 14% strongly in support, according to the September 8-13 New York Times/Siena poll. Opposition reached 74% among 2024 Harris voters and 67% among nonvoters, while 2024 Trump voters split 49% support to 45% opposition.
