Two Army officers on trial over Jaysley Beck assault report before her death

A court martial heard 15 September that Colonel Samantha Shepherd and Major James Hook failed to properly handle a sexual assault allegation by Gunner Jaysley Beck, 19, before she killed herself. Prosecutors described mishandling of her 2021 report against a senior warrant officer. Both deny conduct prejudicial to good order and service discipline.
