Los Angeles prosecutors won't seek death penalty for Nick Reiner

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said Sept. 15, 2026, his office will not seek the death penalty against Nick Reiner, accused of fatally stabbing parents Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner in their Los Angeles home in December 2025. Prosecutors said the maximum penalty he faces is life in prison without parole.
