Canada seeks closer EU alliance amid US trade war

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visits Strasbourg and Liverpool Sept. 15-17 to seek a closer strategic alliance with the European Union amid Canada's trade war with the United States. He will meet European Parliament members on trade, investment and security. Carney says Canada does not seek EU membership, but a "unique alliance."
