Sanders, Casar Plan Bill to Ban Artificial Superintelligence, Pause Advanced AI

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont, and Rep. Greg Casar plan to introduce legislation to ban artificial superintelligence and temporarily pause advanced AI development, according to a Sept. 3 release from Sanders' Senate office. The proposal includes a prohibition and a temporary pause on advanced development.
