Volvo claims longest US plug-in hybrid range with 78-mile XC60, 73-mile XC90

Volvo revealed updated XC60 and XC90 plug-in hybrids with preliminary EPA electric-only ranges of 78 miles and 73 miles. Both use a floor-integrated 41.2 kWh battery with 37.9 kWh usable, more than double the prior variant. Volvo claims the figures would be the longest of any plug-in hybrids in the American market if confirmed.
