Oranga Tamariki confirms staff present during Korowai Manaaki assault

Oranga Tamariki has confirmed kaimahi were present in the unit when a young person was slapped and hit by peers in a 'walking the line' farewell as he left Korowai Manaaki youth justice residence in March. The agency told RNZ "at the time of the incident, kaimahi were present in the unit with the rangatahi."
