Automattic Board Is Out After Failed Attempt to Oust CEO Matt Mullenweg

Multiple sources told TechCrunch on Sept. 14 that Automattic's board is out after voting to place founder Matt Mullenweg on paid leave. Toni Schneider resigned; Sue Decker and Ann Dunwoody were removed by Mullenweg, sources said. Mullenweg has returned as chairman and CEO. No reason for the original leave vote was given.
