Iridescent rainbow clouds photographed over Melbourne suburbs

Onlookers in Mount Waverley and Caroline Springs, suburbs of Melbourne, photographed iridescent rainbow clouds that appeared over parts of Victoria over the weekend. The colours form when light is diffracted around ice crystals in cirrus clouds.
