Malaysian teen acquitted of schoolmate's murder on insanity grounds
A Malaysian court acquitted a teenage boy of murdering 16-year-old Yap Shing Xuen, finding he was mentally unsound during the fatal stabbing in a school toilet outside Kuala Lumpur. Defence lawyers did not deny the killing by the boy, 14 at the time. A psychiatrist testified he has schizophrenia with delusions since age nine.
