Iran, Iraq and Gulf states to meet Sept. 14 on Hormuz shipping rules

Senior officials from Iran, Iraq and Gulf Arab states will gather in Salalah, Oman on Sept. 14 to negotiate temporary rules for commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran announced the meeting Sept. 12. The aim is to ease hostilities and reopen the strait. Even if routes resume, missile and enforcement disputes would remain.
