One dead, more than 30 missing after Vanuatu ferry MV Matui sinks

The inter-island ferry MV Matui sank in bad weather while sailing between Ambae and Santo in northern Vanuatu, according to Prime Minister Jotham Napat's office. At least one person died, more than 30 remain missing, and 15 crew and passengers are accounted for alive. Search and rescue efforts were continuing as of September 13.
