ASA rules National Party flyer misled voters on KiwiSaver and capital gains tax

The Advertising Standards Authority has partly upheld a complaint against a National Party election flyer claiming Labour's capital gains tax would "hit" KiwiSaver. The ASA majority found the claim breached truthful-presentation rules, as most people would understand KiwiSaver funds would be directly taxed. Labour says KiwiSaver is exempt. The ASA told National not to reuse the flyer in its current form.
