Snooker Champion Graeme Dott Guilty of Child Abuse That Began the Year He Won World Title

Graeme Dott, 49, was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow of sexually abusing two primary-school-age children. He abused a girl between 1993 and 1996 and a boy between 2006 and 2010 — the same year he won the World Snooker Championship. Dott denied the charges, telling the court there was "absolutely no way" he abused the children. The jury rejected his denial on both counts. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
