Signal Alumni Release Encrypted Spaces, an Open Architecture for Encrypted Collaboration

Former Signal protocol developers, working with Microsoft Research and Harvard, released Encrypted Spaces on 12 June—an open-source architecture that keeps collaborative data encrypted while making every operation cryptographically verifiable without reliance on a trusted server. The whitepaper was published 11 June. The system removes the central point of trust from shared workspaces by pushing cryptographic verification into the application layer itself.
