Sydney Unveils $150M Town Hall Plaza Design, 40 Years in the Making

The City of Sydney released new renders of a 4,500-square-metre public plaza opposite Town Hall, a project first conceived over 40 years ago. The $150 million plan requires demolishing seven CBD buildings — the council is still acquiring the last. Demolition starts in 2028; completion is set for 2031. Lord Mayor Clover Moore called it a "once-in-a-generation opportunity."
