Hipkins rules out NZ First coalition, citing racism

Labour leader Chris Hipkins has ruled out forming a government with New Zealand First, citing what he called "overt racism" from Winston Peters and the party. Hipkins said no one in Labour disagreed. Peters had already ruled out working with Labour. The announcement follows a Taxpayers Union-Curia poll putting Labour at 27.8 percent.
