Parties face Long Covid advocates but offer no policy

Five parties — Labour, ACT, the Greens, NZ First and the Opportunity Party — attended an online panel hosted by Long Covid Support Aotearoa on 10 August 2026. None made specific policy commitments. New Zealand Health Survey figures show about 185,000 adults — 4.3 percent — are living with Long Covid. Advocates want better data collection and improved access to disability support services.
