France Intercepted 10 Migrant Boats in Channel Since Spring

French maritime officers have stopped ten small boats crossing the English Channel since spring 2026, returning asylum seekers to France under a policy shift from November 2025. Crossings dropped 43% year-on-year by mid-July, but smuggling networks adapted, dispersing launches to Belgium and Dieppe, 70 miles from the UK.
