France Stops 10 Migrant Boats in the English Channel

French authorities have stopped ten small boats carrying migrants across the English Channel since spring 2026, sending people back to France under a policy that began in November 2025. Channel crossings fell 43% by mid-July. But people-smugglers shifted their routes to Belgium and Dieppe, a French port 70 miles from the UK.
