Bethesda ships free 19-map Quake campaign for the game's 30th anniversary

MachineGames and id Software released "Dawn of the Machine," a free 19-map Quake campaign, on August 6, 2026, across nine platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Switch 2. The update adds three enemy variants, two weapon variants, a new deathmatch map, and a looping progression system with rune-gated paths and persistent upgrades.
