FCA ends 7-day research delay for UK IPOs

The FCA removed the mandatory 7-day waiting period for connected research in UK equity IPOs, per policy statement PS26/16 published 5 August 2026. Syndicate analysts can now publish alongside unconnected coverage. The FCA's consultation CP26/14 found the delay added unnecessary market risk and costs without meaningful investor protection.
