Michigan Democratic Senate Primary Too Close to Call
Michigan's Democratic U.S. Senate primary remained too close to call as of August 5. Progressive Abdul El-Sayed, a former county health director, held a narrow lead over Rep. Haley Stevens, who had backing from party leaders and AIPAC-aligned spending. AIPAC is a pro-Israel lobbying group. The winner faces Republican nominee and former Rep. Mike Rogers in November.
