OpenAI and Google Back Open AI Security Letter but Skip the Alliance Behind It

Nvidia's Open Secure AI Alliance surpassed 120 members in its first week, but OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic — the three firms building the most capable closed models — declined to join. OpenAI and Google did sign the open letter urging White House support for open source AI security that gave rise to the alliance.
