OpenAI and Google Support Open AI Safety Idea but Decline to Join the New Group

Nvidia's new alliance for making freely shared AI systems more secure has grown to over 120 members in its first week. But OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic — the companies building the most powerful private AI — have not joined. OpenAI and Google did sign the public letter to the White House that started the group.
