Woman Reclaims €1m Lottery Ticket from Italian Waste Facility

A Bitonto woman unknowingly threw out a €1 million instant-win ticket after a shop's scanner — unable to verify large prizes — flagged it "non-payable." Italy's lottery operator, SANB, traced the ticket to a waste facility. Workers searched over a day to find it intact. SANB required the woman to cover all recovery costs.
