OpenAI Publicly Releases Internal Legal Emails in Rebuttal to Apple Trade Secrets Suit

OpenAI published a blog post on August 3, 2026 titled "Apple is getting this wrong," calling Apple's trade secrets lawsuit "careless, aggressive, and oddly personal" and releasing internal legal correspondence between the two companies' lawyers. The post also reveals that Apple's outside counsel emailed the wrong person after confusing two Asian last names.
