Morocco Names Western Sahara Highway After Trump

Morocco's King Mohammed VI renamed the 1,055-km Tiznit-Dakhla expressway the "Donald J. Trump Highway," per a 2 July letter. The road runs through Western Sahara — territory Morocco claims, but the Polisario Front and Algeria contest. The honor reflects "deep appreciation" for Trump's 2020 US recognition of Moroccan sovereignty there.
