Morocco Names 1,055-Km Highway Through Western Sahara After Trump

Morocco renamed its Tiznit-Dakhla expressway the "Donald J. Trump Highway," confirmed by King Mohammed VI in a 2 July letter. The 1,055-km road runs through Western Sahara, territory Morocco claims but the Polisario Front and Algeria dispute. The "deep appreciation" honors Trump's 2020 US recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the region.
