Opportunity Party launches 40-candidate list, polling just shy of threshold

The Opportunity Party has named 40 candidates, all standing in electorate seats, led by Qiqaue Wong. The party polls at 4.7 percent in the latest RNZ-Reid Research poll — 0.3 points below the 5 percent MMP threshold needed to gain list seats. Clearing it would deliver six MPs. Wong said the team expected "better than the current political parties are delivering."
