Cabinet opts for baseline defence training upgrade as army readiness sits at 45 percent
Cabinet papers show the Government picked a "minimum viable capability" option for army recruit training over a larger "future growth" plan. NZDF land combat readiness is at 45 percent, with 60 percent of the army's land training system at end-of-life.
