Steam Machine Purchase Window Starts at Email Send Time, Not Open Time

Valve confirmed Steam Machine reservation holders will get a purchase email by end of 2025. They have 72 hours from when the email is sent — not when opened — to complete the transaction or lose the slot. Valve did not say whether reminders or grace periods exist beyond that window.
