Melbourne man convicted of raping former personal assistant

A well-connected Melbourne man, whose identity is suppressed by court order, was convicted of two rape counts and one sexual assault count against his former personal assistant. The County Court of Victoria jury rejected the defence's denial of any sexual contact. The offences occurred in March 2023. Bail was revoked; he remains in custody pending sentencing.
