Melbourne man found guilty of raping former personal assistant after three-week trial

A well-connected Melbourne man, whose identity remains suppressed by court order, was found guilty on two counts of rape and one of sexual assault against his former personal assistant. The County Court of Victoria jury rejected the defence's claim that no sexual contact occurred. The offences took place in March 2023. Bail was revoked; he is in custody pending sentencing.
