Chinook Crash Families Press PM Burnham for Fresh Review Under New Hillsborough Law

Families of 29 personnel killed in the 1994 RAF Chinook crash on the Mull of Kintyre have written to Downing Street urging Prime Minister Andy Burnham to order a fresh review independent of the MoD. They call it the first test of the Hillsborough law's legally binding duty of candour, enacted July 2026. Former defence secretary Liam Fox says MoD airworthiness disclosures were "not correct."
