Chinook Crash Families Urge PM Burnham to Order Fresh Review Under New Hillsborough Law

Families of 29 personnel killed in the 1994 RAF Chinook Mull of Kintyre crash delivered a letter to Downing Street urging Prime Minister Andy Burnham to order a fresh, MoD-independent review. They cast it as the first test of the Hillsborough law's legally enforceable duty of candour, enacted by MPs in July 2026. Former defence secretary Liam Fox says MoD airworthiness disclosures were "not correct."
