Record Wildfires Force 330,000 to Flee France and Spain

Over 330,000 people have been evacuated across France and Spain this week as wildfires burned on both sides of the Pyrenees, the mountain range dividing the two countries. The Gironde blaze scorched 42,000 hectares — among France's largest fires since World War II. Madrid's regional president called the fires the worst locally in history. One man died near Valencia.
