Harris County DA Accuses DHS of Withholding Evidence in Fatal ICE Shooting

Harris County DA Sean Teare told a July 24 congressional forum in Houston that DHS has refused his requests for evidence in the fatal ICE shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, killed during a July 7 traffic stop. DHS will not release the officer's name. The agents involved were not wearing body cameras, leaving no video record of the encounter.
