Harris County DA Says DHS Withholding Evidence in Fatal ICE Shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo

Harris County DA Sean Teare told a July 24 congressional oversight forum in Houston that DHS has refused his requests for evidence in the fatal ICE shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, including the name of the officer who fired the fatal shot. DHS says it will not release that name. Araujo, 52, was killed during a July 7 traffic stop; ICE agents were not wearing body cameras.
