Rinehart offers Australian swimmers up to $30,000 per medal at Glasgow 2026

Gina Rinehart, patron of Swimming Queensland, will pay Australian swimmers $20,000 for individual gold, $15,000 for silver, $10,000 for bronze, and $30,000 for an individual world record at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Relay payouts range from $2,500 to $7,500 per swimmer. The bonuses are separate from official team funding. Chef de mission Petria Thomas said Commonwealth Games Australia is not involved.
