National Geographic's Carl Sagan documentary, produced by Druyan and MacFarlane, premieres at Telluride

National Geographic premiered "Carl Sagan: We Are Made of Star Stuff" at the Telluride Film Festival, which ran September 4–7, 2026. Nanette Burstein directed the 98-minute film. Sagan's widow Ann Druyan and Seth MacFarlane produced it; National Geographic described the production as having "unprecedented access" to Sagan's personal archive. No wide release date has been set.
