Trump Sets 10%–12.5% Tariffs on 60 Countries Covering 99% of U.S. Imports

President Trump announced tariffs of 10% to 12.5% on imports from 60 countries covering 99% of U.S. imports, starting when temporary 10% worldwide duties expire at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 25. USTR Jamieson Greer said the tariffs, imposed under Section 301, target countries that failed to enforce bans on forced-labor imports. Oil, gas, fertilizer and USMCA-qualifying goods are exempt.
