Instagram Begins Banning Users Who Covertly Film with Meta Smart Glasses

Instagram is removing posts and banning accounts that use Meta smart glasses to secretly record people for content. Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri said the platform will act against surreptitious recording and harassment, including "pickup line" videos. Meta confirmed specific account bans to Business Insider. At least two high-profile accounts filming women without consent were deactivated.
