Instagram Bans Users Filming People Covertly with Meta Smart Glasses

Instagram has started banning users who use Meta smart glasses to secretly record people for content. Instagram head Adam Mosseri publicly stated the platform will remove posts involving surreptitious recording and harassment, including so-called "pickup line" videos. Meta confirmed specific account bans to Business Insider. At least two high-profile accounts filming women without consent were deactivated.
