Claude Voice Mode Adds Opus and Sonnet Models with Mid-Conversation Switching

Anthropic expanded Claude's voice mode to include Opus and Sonnet, previously text-only tiers. Users can switch between all three models mid-conversation without losing context, and toggle between voice and text in one thread. Anthropic has not said how conversation state persists across models. Neither OpenAI nor Google offers mid-session model switching in voice.
