YouTube defines three inauthentic content categories barred from monetization

YouTube has named three content categories excluded from its Partner Program: templated or AI-generated generic content, emotionally manipulative distressing content chasing views, and AI personas discussing sensitive topics like health and finance. Trust and safety chief Matt Halprin announced the clarification in a July 2026 Creator Insider video, targeting content farming operations.
