YouTube names three categories of "inauthentic content" excluded from monetization

YouTube has specified three "inauthentic content" categories barred from the Partner Program: generic or template-based content including AI-generated material, emotionally manipulative distressing content chasing views, and AI personas discussing sensitive topics like health and finance. Trust and safety chief Matt Halprin announced the clarification in a July 2026 Creator Insider video, targeting content farming operations.
