BBC political editor Chris Mason published a video analysis on 20 July 2026 asking what image Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham wants to project. It is the corporation's third piece on him in three weeks, following written analyses on 17 July and 29 June. The BBC also added a "Follow Andy Burnham" topic feature to the page.
